About Us

Zoomies is a volunteer initiative dedicated to offering free dog-walking support to struggling dog owners across Ontario during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We at Zoomies understand that the pandemic poses additional risks to some members of the community and this heightened risk can make walking one's dog(s) a particularly daunting and dangerous task. Likewise, our incredible frontline workers and teachers are working difficult hours, often under immense stress, leaving less time and energy available to dedicate to their pet(s). We believe that no one should have to sacrifice care for their dog(s) due to obstacles beyond their control as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Zoomies matches those who are struggling to safely exercise their dog(s), as well as our amazing frontline workers and teachers, with a volunteer dog walker in their area who will provide free, ongoing dog-walking support.
